Seaborg Technologies is a start-up at the forefront of advanced and innovative nuclear reactor technology working to provide abundant, affordable, and sustainable energy to the world. We have grown to become the leading molten salt reactor start-up outside of North America with an international team of 30+ employees from five continents. We are actively developing the design for our Compact Molten Salt Reactor, alongside licensing and experimental validation activities of key safety and performance claims, and are currently planning a multi-million salt lab to accelerate these efforts. We are engaged with multiple stakeholders in the growing advanced reactor supply chain, primarily in South East Asia.

We are hiring a commercially driven CFO to build out our financial capabilities and be a crucial strategic partner in our business development. You will be in charge of our financial activities and help us not only enable but accelerate our growth ambitions.
You’ll be part of the management team, and work closely with our business team.
Your responsibilities will span three overall areas:
You'll join our business team in our continuous work with fundraising, namely equity funding and partly soft funding. Your financial experience and insights will be paramount in ensuring capital from institutional investors and utilizing ever more complex financing sources.
Together with the business team you’ll help develop a compelling financial model to our business model and continuously improving it as our product and markets advance.
Financial management and reporting
Managing accounting, tax, and treasury will be an integral part of your daily work, but given our current stage of business this will not be an overwhelming part of your job. To begin with it includes managing our external accountants and setting up meaningful reporting for management. But it will grow, and for this we expect you know what finance team to hire and manage and develop.
You have a relevant degree in auditing/economics or business administration, or equivalent business experience and a minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible experience for a company or scaleup or division of a large corporation. You should have experience in partnering with an executive team and have a high level of written and oral communication skills.
Proven experience as CFO, finance officer, or similar relevant role
Experience from the energy, maritime or heavy industry sector
Ability to strategize and thrive in solving complex problems
Desire to work in a moonshot startup with everything that entails
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Excellent communication and people skills
Strong English language skills. Danish is desired but not required
Proven track record in fundraising.
